Meet DMCC’s New 2026 Board Members!

Powered by a small team and strong community roots, DMCC depends on local volunteer board members to guide our work. The board is responsible for driving organizational goals, managing fiscal and legal health, and protecting our public standing. New board cohorts join every July for terms lasting up to six years (two three-year terms).

This summer, we welcomed two new members to the board who were already volunteers dedicated to DMCC's mission of supporting older adults aging independently at home, but their talents and expertise will push real positive growth for the organization. Jenny Moller is a North County San Diego–based creative director, experience designer, and participatory artist who believes creativity has the power to strengthen communities, foster belonging, and bring people together in meaningful ways. Throughout her career, Jenny has partnered with nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations to bring ideas to life through creative direction, brand storytelling, public art, workshops, and community engagement. Through her work with Kids for Peace, her participatory artwork has reached communities locally and internationally, including pieces gifted to the U.S. Institute of Peace, the Children’s Peace Monument at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and a Kids for Peace school in Kenya. Joining the Del Mar Community Connections Board of Directors is especially meaningful to Jenny because the organization was founded by her aunt, Nancy Weare. As incoming PR Chair, she is honored to continue that legacy of service and to contribute her experience in creative leadership, storytelling, and community engagement to help strengthen connection, belonging, and quality of life throughout the Del Mar community.

Helen Ti was born in Taiwan to parents from China. She immigrated to the United States in 1973. After graduating from Rider College in Trenton, New Jersey, with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, she relocated to San Diego in 1978 and has been living in Carmel Valley ever since. Helen spent her early career in accounting and marketing before achieving her goal of business ownership in 1988. She owned and operated a restaurant for over 32 years—transitioning the establishment from Chinese to Mexican cuisine—until her retirement in 2021.

In 2021, Helen also faced the unexpected loss of her husband of over 30 years. As she worked to rebuild her life, she joined DMCC in November 2024. Through volunteer work and new connections, she has found a renewed sense of purpose and community.
