What to Expect
Because our goal is to help you build momentum and connect with long-term external resources, the ARA service provides targeted, short-term coordination. This typically includes an initial office meeting or home visit, with up to two follow-up appointments per month and phone support as needed.
Please note: While the ARA is an excellent resource navigator, our advocate does not provide psychological, medical, or mental health counseling; we will happily connect you to licensed counseling professionals if those services are needed.
Meet Carole, our Aging Resources Advocate!
Carole Lindsey has a diverse background dedicated to serving seniors. In 1985, she discovered her passion for elder care, initially directing senior exercise programs in elite health clubs. She later became a professional private fiduciary and developed caregiver training for an in-home care company. By shifting her academic focus from physical therapy to business, she successfully merged her broad interests to better serve the senior population. After six years with an in-home care provider, Carole founded Superior Home Care Services, where she served as Regional Director for over twelve years, providing licensed caregivers and care managers to seniors and families across San Diego County.

Carole’s dedication extends into community service. She volunteered for two three-year terms on the board of Serving Seniors, an organization providing housing, food, and healthcare to impoverished seniors. In 2017, she partnered with Ted Lange, CFP, to establish Senior Life Source, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public on aging. Witnessing the hardships families face due to inadequate late-life planning, Carole's mission is to empower individuals to plan, dream, and execute best-life practices for older adults and their loved ones.
Outside of her professional life, Carole enjoys tango dancing with her husband and jumping her horse. She also loves spending time at home following around her four rescue dogs and two rescue cats—acknowledging that, after all, it’s really their house!
